Makrokosmos Project 4
It was a pleasure to join DUO Stephanie (Ho) and Saar (Ahuvia) for another Makrokosmos Project, this time performing the music of John Cage (Branches) and George Crumb (Music for a Summer Evening). The entire event was incredible, and what an honor to share the stage with this lineup of brilliant musicians!

Having performed at the Northwest Percussion Festival during my undergraduate studies, and more recently as a director of a participating ensemble, it was a real honor to co-host the this year’s event with my Portland Percussion Group partner Paul Owen. A huge thanks as well to Dave Gerhart and Josh Prewett of Yamaha, along with Vic Firth, Remo, Zildjian, Black Swamp Percussion, Pearl/Adams, Encore, and the Percussive Arts Society for their contributions to this year’s NWPF!
